SALLY

Age: 15

As far as teenagers go, Sally is pretty typical. She’s brave and loyal, but tends to think with her big mouth and not with her brain.  She can be brash and overzealous, but Sally cares passionately for her friends and family, even if she isn’t always great at showing it. She is an accomplished gymnast, but gave it up recently due to awkward teenage growth spurts (her big hands and feet cause her quite a bit of embarrassment).

 

AIMEE

Age: 14

Aimee is Sally’s best friend and the foil to her in many ways. Aimee is very smart, but tends to let this fact get the better of her sometimes. She can be just as emotional as Sally, but has a more rational way of handling herself in stressful situations. Aimee is level-headed and friendly, but gets exasperated easily, especially when it comes to her best friend.

OLIVER

Age: 8

Sally’s little brother and the bane of her existence. Oliver likes bugs, boogers, and torturing his older sister with both of these things. He might one day grow up to be a decent human being, but at the moment he is nothing more than a colossal nuisance.  Sally can’t stand her little brother, but she will always love him. It’s just really hard sometimes!

MOM

Age: 43

Mom is a lawyer and is relatively cool and collected under pressure. She loves her kids, and does the best that she can for them, even if that means forcing Sally to babysit her little brother at the expense of a trip to the mall. Mom is smart and reasonable, though she works hard to keep her temper under control.

DAD

Age: 45

Dad is a xenolinguistics professor at the local college. He enjoys typical “dad” activities such as sports, searching for the remote control, and embarrassing his kids. He isn’t quite as adept at dealing with a teenage daughter, and prefers to default all strange situations to Mom. Dad was once a great spacebaseball player, but likes to keep that part of his past under-wraps.
